All-Purpose Pork Spice Rub

With grilling season upon us, it's good to have a spice rub prepped and ready to put on any of your favorite cuts of pasture raised pork. This has always been my go-to spice rub for any kind of pork whether it's for grilled pork chops, smoked pork belly, pulled pork, ANY kind of pork. Just take as much of this spice rub as you need and put it over your choice of pork before cooking, even if it's just a sprinkle to season. Feel free to mix this spice rub ahead of time and store it in a jar for future use. I also included some optional ingredients to add sweetness and/or spiciness (I usually add both to mine, but different people have different taste). Thanks for reading and enjoy!


3 Tablespoon ...... Sweet Paprika (you can substitute 1 Tablespoon with Smoked Paprika!)

1 Tablespoon ....... Ancho Chili Powder

2 teaspoon ....... Mustard Powder

2 teaspoon ...... Thyme, fresh (1 Tablespoon if using dried)

2 teaspoon ...... Kosher or Sea Salt

1 1/2 teaspoon ...... Black Pepper, finely ground

1/2 teaspoon ....... Garlic Powder

1/2 teaspoon ....... Onion Powder

1 teaspoon ....... Chili Flakes (optional, for spice)

1 Tablespoon ....... Brown Sugar (optional, for sweet)
